Once again the spotlight falls on Pakistani actress Meera after she made a striking claim about past career opportunities.
During promotions for her forthcoming feature Psycho, Meera said she had been offered a major Bollywood part opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The remark set social media ablaze, prompting spirited debate and a flood of trolling and commentary.
Psycho, which Meera is producing herself, is slated to premiere on Eid ul Adha. The film stars Shaan Shahid in the lead, with Meera portraying the title character — a continuation of the strong, central roles she embraced in films like Baaji.
She has been actively appearing on interviews and podcasts as part of an energetic promotional campaign, keeping fans and critics talking.
During a recent Discover Pakistan interview, Meera said she was offered the female lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan in a Yash Chopra film.
She added the role later went to Katrina Kaif in Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
