Sindh minister Ghulam Murtaza Baloch dies of Covid-19

Coronavirus claims 78 more lives in Pakistan, cases surge to 76,398

Pakistan confirmed 78 more deaths from novel coronavirus in one day as the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 1,621 and positive cases surged to 76,398. According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 3,938 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours.

Farogh Naseem resigns to represent federation in Justice Isa case

PIA airbus carrying around 100 passengers crashed over a residential kicolony near Karachi airport

KARACHI: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane with 99 passengers and crew crashed into a residential area of Karachi minutes before landing, with many feared dead. “The areoplane [flight PK 8303] first hit a mobile tower and crashed over houses,” witness Shakeel Ahmed said near the site, just a few kilometres short of the airport.

7 soldiers martyred in two separate terror attacks in Balochistan: ISPR

Seven soldiers have been martyred in two separate terror attacks in Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday. Shops to reopen for 4 days a week as Sindh starts easing lockdown

There will be a complete lockdown in Sindh every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout May, the provincial government has decided.The home department issued on Sunday a notification regarding businesses, markets and public places that may or may not stay open during the month. Community markets and retail outlets will remain open from 8am to 4pm.
