According to Iran’s official news agencies IRNA and Tasnim, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has struck U.S. military installations in Kuwait and Bahrain.
The IRGC said its naval and air units carried out a coordinated assault, firing ballistic missiles and launching armed drones against the U.S. Ali Al-Salam Air Base in Kuwait and against facilities linked to the U.S. Fifth Fleet at Port Salman in the Bahraini capital Manama.
The statement described the operation as a precise, retaliatory measure in direct response to a U.S. bombing that hit five coastal sites inside Iran.
The Revolutionary Guards warned that they have reacted strongly to recent tensions and cautioned that American military bases in the region “will face hell in the coming days,” signaling an escalation in both rhetoric and posture. A separate communique from the IRGC Navy said the U.S. strike on the southern Iranian city of Sirik would not undermine Iran’s dominance over the Strait of Hormuz, and promised stricter enforcement against ships that violate maritime traffic rules there.
According to the IRGC, an interim agreement between the U.S. and Iran grants Tehran the authority to monitor and control maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz; from now on, vessels that breach those rules will be treated far more severely. The statement further warned that any enemy aggression “under any pretext” will be met with a decisive and crushing response.
Iran added that any violation of the ceasefire would constitute a breach of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and would trigger a complete halt to all activities carried out under the agreement.
