A wonderful musical program further illuminated the night, featuring soulful, melodious performances by Merab Jevin, Nirmila Meghani, Afshan Khan, Shazia Kausar and Shabana Kausar, each delivering songs that deeply resonated with the audience.
At the awards ceremony, Faisal Qureshi was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding service and exceptional contributions to the showbiz industry. A specially curated showreel charting his artistic journey was screened and met with thunderous applause. The evening also featured a glittering musical program and a spirited comedy night, where artists from film and television delivered brilliant performances that captivated the audience.
The event was presided over by the legendary actor Mustafa Qureshi. Karachi Arts Council President Ahmed Shah praised Faisal, saying, “We have worked together with Faisal Qureshi; we were very close during this production. It felt as if he were working on his own project. From the time he started with Buta, he has shown immense potential and endless versatility — he never stopped after that.
“He has taken on every kind of role and performed each one brilliantly. Faisal is a deeply responsible professional who gives his 100 percent. He does not focus only on himself but also creates ease and support for fellow actors, producers, and directors. He understands in an instant what the director wants. He is not only an excellent actor but also a wonderful human being. I worked very hard to ensure Faisal received his due on merit, and even then he was not yet fifty — I said that should not be an objection. Now that he has crossed fifty, that objection no longer stands. Faisal Qureshi is the cultural capital of Pakistan.”
Mustafa Qureshi, in his address, lauded Faisal Qureshi as more than an outstanding actor — he called him a consummate artist with the vision and talent to direct and present stories in a truly spectacular way. Mustafa urged the government to take stronger measures to encourage and support artists across the country.
Renowned actor Humayun Saeed attributed Faisal’s success to his unwavering discipline, relentless hard work and impeccable punctuality. He held up Faisal as a shining example for the new generation of performers.
Veteran actor Behrooz Sabzwari praised Faisal not only for his craft but for his character, saying that above all titles—actor, doctor, pilot or businessman—the most important quality is to be a good human being. He offered prayers for Faisal’s continued blessings.
Senior artist Salahuddin Tanio described Faisal as a towering creative force, suggesting that characters themselves come alive because of him. Adnan Siddiqui echoed this sentiment, calling Faisal a top‑tier actor who inhabits every role with skill and nuance.
Shahzad Nawaz commended Faisal’s philanthropy and optimistic outlook, arguing that artists of his calibre deserve formal recognition and high honors from the government.
On the occasion, Faisal Qureshi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, and the Lifestyle Journalists Association for their warm hospitality. He described the industry as a close‑knit family where colleagues support one another and thanked his senior peers—especially Mustafa Qureshi and Humayun Saeed—for their guidance. The event was hosted by Raheel Baig and Dr. Rafia Rafique.
