US President Donald Trump said the announcement of the Iran deal is expected soon.
He said he had spoken with the leaders of several Muslim countries about the Iran issue and described those talks as positive. He spoke with Field Marshal Asim Munir, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Emirati President Mohammed bin Zayed. He also held discussions with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman.
Trump said he had spoken with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and that he enjoyed a good phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.
He said negotiations on the Iran deal are close to completion and that the final aspects of the agreement are still being discussed. After the deal is finalized, he added, the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened.
