Pakistan’s petrol prices hit record high, fearing further inflation

The price of petrol in the country has been further increased for the next 15 days.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Political Relations Shahbaz Gil said that the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 1.71 per liter on the recommendation of OGRA.

The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister said that the new prices would be effective from August 1.

Shahbaz Gil said that according to the data of July 26, the price of petrol in 27 countries of the world is lower than that of Pakistan.

He said that according to the data of July 26, the price of petrol per liter in 140 countries is higher than in Pakistan.

He said that the average price of petrol in the world is 1.19 per liter while in Pakistan it is 0.72 per liter.

Shahbaz Gul said that the prices of petroleum products in the world have increased by 47% while in Pakistan it has increased by 11%.
