Israel fired 3 missiles in limited strike on Iran, senior US official says

Israel launched a counterattack against Iran in the early hours of Friday morning, according to a high-ranking U.S. official speaking to News channel

According to the official, Israeli jets fired three missiles from outside Iran’s borders.

The strike was aimed at an air defense radar installation near the city of Isfahan, which provides coverage for the Natanz nuclear facility. Initial evaluations suggest that the radar site was destroyed, although a full assessment is still ongoing, per the official.

The official indicated that the purpose of the strike was to demonstrate to Iran that Israel possesses such capabilities, but it was not an attempt to escalate tensions further.

This action comes in response to Iran’s assault last Saturday, in which they launched over 300 unmanned drones and missiles at various locations across Israel, as previously reported by the Israeli military. According to officials, the vast majority were successfully intercepted by Israel and its allies, including the United States.
