Iran launches dozens of drones at Israel

Iran has launched numerous drones and missiles at Israel, as per the claims by Tehran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The IRGC announced on Saturday that these drones and missiles were deployed as a part of operation ‘True Promise,’ stating that this action serves as retribution for ‘Israeli crimes’.

In anticipation of a potential Israeli counterattack, Syrian military sources report that they have heightened the readiness of their Russian-built Pantsir surface-to-air defense systems around Damascus and key military installations.

Meanwhile, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Israel have announced the closure of their airspace.

This development follows nearly two weeks after an Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Syria, which resulted in the deaths of seven members of the IRGC.

‘Iran has launched UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) from its territory towards Israel,’ stated Daniel Hagari, spokesman for the Israeli army, late on Saturday.
