While, in principle, governance should not fall to those in uniform and the armed forces should not rule the state, Pakistan’s current situation requires that the military play a role beyond purely defensive duties. The country experiences discriminatory conduct on the international stage because of its identity as an ideological Islamic state and faces significant threats from actors such as Israel and India, who have occupied territory despite claiming democratic credentials. The Security Council has been unable to restrain their abuses effectively.
In this context, Pakistan must project strong leadership globally under a commanding personality like Field Marshal Asim Munir. He has earned international acknowledgement for his vision and has become one of the most consequential figures in contemporary administration. He has, without doubt, been instrumental in preventing a third world war and is in a robust position to guide Pakistan toward stability, prosperity, and progress.
I call upon all fellow citizens to support his causes and to contribute toward making Pakistan stronger and more progressive.
