
Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, called on Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in Rawalpindi today.

Both sides underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral defence ties and expanding cooperation in areas such as professional military training and security initiatives.

The visiting dignitary praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their contributions to regional peace and security.
Earlier, upon arrival at the General Headquarters (GHQ), the visiting dignitary was received with a Guard of Honour presented by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent in a ceremony marked by precision and discipline.
