Federal cabinet members assume charge after allocation of portfolios

The federal government has distributed portfolios among the 19 members of the new federal cabinet.

The finance and revenue portfolio is now held by Muhammad Aurangzeb.Mohsin Naqvi has taken on Home Affairs and Narcotics Control.

Khawaja Asif is now the defence minister, also responsible for defence production and aviation.

Ishaq Dar will serve as the foreign minister, with Ahsan Iqbal taking on the role of Minister for Planning, Development and Special Measures.

Ahad Cheema is in charge of Economic Affairs and the Establishment Division.

Musadik Malik has become the Minister of Energy and Petroleum. Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada is the new Minister of Housing and Works. Attaullah Tarar is handling the Information and Broadcasting portfolio.

Awais Laghai has been given the roles of Minister of Railways, Safron, and Heritage and Culture, while Jam Kamal is responsible for Trade, and Abdul Aleem Khan for Privatization and the Board of Investment.

Chaudhry Salik Hussain is now the Minister of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development. Azam Nazir Tarar has been assigned Law and Justice and Human Rights, and Rana Tanveer Hussain has been given Industries and Production.
