US President Donald Trump issued a stark statement on social media, accusing Iran of having delayed negotiations for far too long and warning that they will now have to pay the price.
In the post, Trump claimed Iran’s military has been all but destroyed — saying large segments, including the navy and the air force, no longer exist. He argued that Iran talks a great deal but rarely takes practical action.
Trump went on to say that Iran has been thoroughly defeated and labeled it a “Middle Eastern bully” whose time is over. He added that he had waited too long to negotiate a deal that might have worked in his favor, and that he will now face the consequences of that delay.
