Senior Pakistani actor Wasim Abbas has revealed why he and Saba Hameed divorced after 29 years of marriage.
He appeared as a guest on a podcast and talked about several topics, including his marriage. He said his second marriage to Saba Hameed lasted 29 years before they divorced, and added that there is nothing wrong with divorce. He still prays for Saba Hameed and wishes her well.
On the reason for their separation, he explained that during disagreements it’s not always the case that one person is truthful and the other a liar. Sometimes both people are right in their own ways, each having their reasons. Rather than continue a difficult life together, they chose to part ways.
Wasim Abbas said there is nothing wrong with a husband and wife separating respectfully. They have no children together; that was decided when they married since he already had four children from his first marriage and Saba Hameed had two from hers, so they felt no need for children.
He added that over the years the feelings that could have sustained their relationship faded, so they separated. He emphasized that neither holds resentment, and if they meet they will greet each other respectfully, and they could still work together if cast in the same drama.
