President Alvi addresses joint session of Parliament, Opposition’s protest and walkout

Addressing a joint session of the Parliament, President Dr Arif Ali said that you should make noise but you have to admit the fact that the country is going through an industrial revolution which cannot be stopped by noise.

A joint sitting of Parliament began under the chairmanship of Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser.

The meeting started with the recitation of Holy Quran followed by Naat.

After that the Speaker of the National Assembly invited the President Dr. Arif Alvi to address the gathering after which the President started his address and with it the opposition started protesting.

In his address, President Dr. Arif Alvi said that we pray for the promotion of democratic values ​​and traditions of mutual tolerance in Pakistan. In the last three years, many positive changes have taken place in Pakistan.

He said that due to its capabilities, it would find a bright and prosperous Pakistan. Due to the effects of Corona, the world economy would shrink while Pakistan’s economic performance remained very good. The growth of economy in Pakistan remained good despite Corona.

During the joint sitting of the parliament, the opposition members protested and carried banners in front of the speaker.

Opposition members chanted slogans against the government’s performance and freedom of the media.

Opposition leaders walked out in protest during the president’s speech.
