
In Islamabad’s federal capital, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly received a high-level Chinese delegation led by Tsai Dafeng.
The delegation has come to Pakistan to join celebrations commemorating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries — a milestone rich in history and mutual respect.

During the talks, the Prime Minister lauded the storied Pakistan-China partnership, describing it as a distinctive and resilient alliance built on deep mutual trust and strategic alignment on bilateral and regional issues.
He conveyed heartfelt congratulations to Xi Jinping, Li Qiang and the Chinese people on the diplomatic anniversary, reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for China’s core national interests, and thanked China for its ongoing support of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor as a true game changer for Pakistan’s socio-economic development — a bold engine that will spur job creation, infrastructure growth, and improved livelihoods.
He confirmed Islamabad’s steadfast resolve to move into the next phase of CPEC, with a clear focus on revitalizing agriculture, unleashing the potential of information technology, scaling up industry, and responsibly tapping mineral wealth.
Looking ahead, the prime minister said he is looking forward to his forthcoming state visit to China as an opportunity to cement partnerships and accelerate shared initiatives.
Turning to regional issues, Mr. Sharif lauded China’s constructive diplomacy in advancing peace and stability in South Asia and the Middle East, and he reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to fostering regional harmony through multilateral cooperation.
Tsai Dafeng conveyed his gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended to the Chinese delegation and joined in congratulating both nations on 75 years of diplomatic ties.
He affirmed that Chinese leadership is dedicated to deepening the Pakistan–China relationship, supporting Pakistan’s development, and working hand in hand to forge a community with a shared future.
The Chinese leader also voiced support for Pakistan’s role in regional peacebuilding and pledged China’s ongoing contributions to global peace and stability.
Both parties underlined that the longstanding ‘iron brotherhood’ between the two countries remains a cornerstone for regional peace, sustainable development, and enduring stability.
