Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended a solemn condolence gathering in Tehran for the martyred Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Amid a hushed, grief-stricken assembly, both leaders offered heartfelt condolences to Iranian President Masoud Peshkeshian, Speaker Baqir Qalibaf, and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, and led prayers for the elevation of the martyred Ayatollah.
After participating in the funeral rites, Shahbaz Sharif will depart for Istanbul to begin an official visit to Turkey. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Atta Tarar, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
