Sindh Governor Syed Nihal Hashmi inaugurated a new NADRA Mega Centre in Karachi’s Surjani area to improve access to identity registration and documentation services for residents of the locality and nearby neighbourhoods.
According to NADRA officials, the new facility has separate service counters for senior citizens and persons with disabilities to ensure greater convenience. The mega centre includes 20 one-window counters that provide multiple services under one roof.
Officials said the centre also has a spacious waiting area with seating for 200 people at a time. The facility will be able to serve more than 2,000 applicants in a 24-hour period.
The establishment of the mega centre will give millions of residents of Surjani and surrounding areas access to all NADRA services at a single location. Officials added that a zonal office within the facility will remove the need for citizens to travel to the Ayesha Manzil office for related services.
