Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran has been signed electronically.
In his statement, he said the agreement was signed by the presidents of both countries and will take effect immediately.
Shehbaz Sharif added that Iran will reopen the Strait of Hormuz and the United States will lift the naval blockade.
Speaking as a mediator, he expressed his full endorsement of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding.
He also said that technical-level talks are scheduled to begin in Switzerland on June 19.
