Today in Lahore’s Model Town, funeral prayers were held for the late actor Humaira Asghar Ali. Following the poignant ceremony, she was laid to rest in the tranquility of Q block cemetery.
Her family had collected her body from Karachi just the day before. Accompanied by her brother, brother-in-law, and other family members, her body was transported to Lahore by ambulance.
Muhammad Ali, her uncle, shared touching memories of staying connected through phone calls. Every time Humaira visited Lahore, she would lovingly come to their home. He mentioned that they never had her address in Karachi, making it impossible to reach her when her phone was off. Despite her joy and success in showbiz, her parents were disheartened by her choice.
Ali’s uncle also spoke of their sorrow, having recently lost his sister, Humaira’s mother. Humaira was a bright, educated woman who relocated to Karachi in 2018, pursuing painting and finding happiness in her work.
Naveed Asghar, her brother, revealed to the media the emotional journey of recovering the body of his beloved younger sister. Legal formalities came first when in police custody, but after coordinating with a welfare organization and the police, they finally brought her back.
On the serene morning of July 8, the lifeless body of Humaira Asghar Ali was tragically discovered within the confines of a modest flat located in Karachi’s upscale Defence Phase 6. After relocating from Lahore to Karachi in 2018, she had been residing in this rented flat amidst the bustling city.
SSP South, Mahzoor Ali, revealed that the beloved actor had been living alone in the flat for a poignant seven years. Sadly, rent had not been paid since 2024, prompting the worried landlord to file a case with the Clifton Cantonment Board. Anxiously, a bailiff arrived to a locked door, and upon forcing entry, unveiled the heartbreaking sight of the woman’s body resting on the floor.
Humaira Asghar Ali was celebrated for her captivating performances in the renowned reality show ‘Tamasha Ghar’ and the 2015 cinematic hit ‘Jalaibee.’
