
An intense exchange of fire erupted near Attock between the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and suspected terrorists, leaving five terrorists dead.
According to a CTD spokesperson, the operation was a targeted raid intended to apprehend the suspects.
Investigators say the suspects had completed planning attacks in various parts of Punjab. From the possession of the slain terrorists, authorities recovered a suicide vest, a hand grenade, two submachine guns (SMGs), ammunition, and additional explosive material.
The CTD spokesperson added that the process of identifying the deceased is ongoing.
