In an official statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed: “I am profoundly grateful to Allah Almighty for granting me the esteemed rank of field marshal. This honor is dedicated to our entire nation, the brave armed forces of Pakistan, and especially to the civil and military martyrs and devoted veterans who have laid down their lives for our beloved country.”
He continued: “This is not merely an individual achievement, but a collective honor for the Pakistani armed forces and the whole nation. This recognition is a sacred trust from the nation, one for which innumerable individuals can be offered in sacrifice. I extend my deepest appreciation to the president of Pakistan, the prime minister, and the federal cabinet for their unwavering trust. This accolade belongs to the nation.”
