The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) issued notices to senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Barrister Gohar, Omar Ayub, and Raoof Hasan over the issue of uploading a controversial video by the official account of PTI founder Imran Khan.
All three bigwigs of PTI have been summoned to appear before FIA on Tuesday at 11 AM.
“An attempt was made to incite the people against the state and its institutions by uploading the video through the official account of PTI founder,” said the notice issued by the FIA.
According to FIA sources, on May 26, a propaganda video was tweeted with reference to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from the official X handle of PTI’s founder. A tweet from his account surfaced in which he urged people to read the Hamoodur Rehman Commission report on the 1971 debacle.
The FIA cyber wing had decided to conduct an inquiry into the uploading of a ‘propaganda’ video featuring Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
