A direct weekly shipping service from Karachi Port to Europe has been restored, re-establishing maritime connectivity between Pakistan and seven European ports and providing a boost to the country’s export industry.
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said MSC has relaunched its ‘Premium i-Pak’ service, restoring the weekly shipping connection from Karachi Gateway Terminal to Europe.
According to Chaudhry, the restoration of the direct Karachi-Europe shipping service is a significant development for Pakistan’s exporters.
The weekly connection from Karachi Gateway Terminal will reconnect Pakistan’s maritime trade with seven European ports, helping exporters move goods directly to European markets.
The federal minister said the resumption of the service would provide much-needed relief to the export industry by improving shipping connectivity between Karachi and Europe.
The restored direct European shipping route is expected to facilitate the movement of export goods, including textiles, to European destinations.
Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said the resumption of the service would further improve the shipment of Pakistani exports to Europe, supporting exporters who rely on efficient and reliable maritime connectivity.
He described the restoration as an important development for the export sector and said the improved shipping link would help strengthen Pakistan’s access to European markets.
