CM Sindh sets vaccination condition for salaries of govt employees

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed to withhold the salaries of government employees who have not been vaccinated against corona.

A meeting of Corona Task Force was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sindh in which Health Minister Azra Fazal Pechohob, Nasir Shah Saeed Ghani and secretaries of various departments participated.

In the Corona Task Force meeting, the Chief Minister directed the Finance Department to withhold the salaries of non-vaccinated employees from July.

Briefing the meeting, Health Secretary Dr Kazim Jatoi said that 26,812 passengers from outside were tested, out of which 55 cases came positive.

Health Secretary Dr Kazim Jatoi said that on May 29, four passengers were diagnosed with Indian variant, all four passengers have been kept in isolation.

He said that on June 1, there were 12.45 per cent positive cases and on June 2, there were 11.77 per cent positive cases in Karachi.

Dr Kazim Jatoi said that from May 27 to June 2, there were 21% new cases and 20 deaths in East Karachi, 12% in Central and 15 deaths, 9% in South and 8% in West and 7 deaths. ۔

He said in the briefing that there have been 392 deaths in Sindh in the last 30 days out of which 238 patients were on vetters.
