Australia whitewashes Pakistan by 3-0 in Test series

Australia completed another win over Pakistan in the third session, leaving the visitors without a win in Australia since 1995 — which happened at the SCG.

Marnus Labuschagne, accumulated an unbeaten 62 runs. Opener Usman Khawaja was out quickly, adjudged lbw off Sajid Khan’s bowling for a six-ball duck.

Australian opener David Warner received a standing ovation as he departed Sydney Cricket Ground after scoring match-winning 57 runs against Pakistan on Saturday. This also drew the curtain on his 112-Test career spanning 12 years.

The 37-year-old hit seven boundaries before he was dismissed lbw by spinner Sajid Khan in the final Test.

Praising his teammates, he said he was proud to be with the bunch of great cricketers. They worked their backsides off, he said after Australia claimed an eight-wicket win for a sweep of the series.

“It’s pretty much a dream come true to win 3-0 and cap off what has been a great 18 months to two years for the Australian team,” he said.

“To come here in front of my home crowd and the support they have shown me and the team over the last decade of my career, I can’t thank them enough,” he added.

4 – Aamer Jamal became the fourth Pakistan player to score 100 runs and take a five-for in a Test. The last Pakistan player to do so was Wasim Akram, against Australia in Adelaide in 1990. Imran Khan (twice) and Mushtaq Mohammad (twice) are others to achieve this feat.
