Senior actor and musician Khalid Nizami passed away in Karachi.
According to his family, he had been ill for a long time. The funeral prayers of the late Khalid Nizami will be offered tomorrow after Zuhr prayers at Osmania Mosque, Buffer Zone 15B, Karachi Central.
The legendary comedian and actor of his time was born in 1947 in the northern Indian city of Mysore, Dera Doon district, Uttarakhand state. He did his early education at Karachi Grammar School and later did his BA from Islamia College, Karachi.
The versatile actor rose to fame after working in the 1972 PTV drama Uncle Urfi, 1974’s Shahzoori, and 1982’s Unspeakable. He also worked in several dramas, including Haseena Moin’s Khel Eid Ka Joora.
He also acted in films, including Nazzal Islam’s 1974 film Haqiqat, 1975’s Pahaan, and the 1977 Punjabi film Aj Diyan Kadiyaan
