Security forces in the Panjgur district of Balochistan have foiled a major terrorist conspiracy through a prompt, intelligence-led operation, security sources said.
The operation, carried out in the Jirak area on the basis of secret information, uncovered a large cache of weapons and sophisticated communication equipment. Officers also seized four rocket fuses and multiple improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from a vehicle during the raid.
Security officials warned that the explosive materials were intended for a possible large-scale terrorist attack planned in the region. They said that the timely and professional action by the security forces prevented widespread destruction and a potential catastrophe, saving many lives.
Security sources added that the successful operation underscores that the security forces remain a strong bulwark against anti-peace elements in Balochistan.
