Security forces have killed 22 terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij in an intelligence-based operation in Khyber district on 21 April 2026.
The joint operation was carried out by security forces and law enforcement agencies following reports of terrorist presence. During the operation, after an intense exchange of fire and skilful engagements by our forces, 22 terrorists were eliminated.
Cowardly and fearing capture alive, the terrorists resorted to indiscriminate firing, which caused the martyrdom of a ten-year-old innocent child.
“Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed Indian-sponsored Khwarij, who had been actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area,” the ISPR said in a press release.
A sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. The relentless counterterrorism campaign under the vision “Azm e Istehkam”, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace by Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies to eradicate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism. Such sacrifices of our innocent civilians further strengthen our resolve.
