Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said we will receive $3 billion in support from the Saudi government by next week.
Speaking at the Pakistani Embassy in Washington, he said they had a detailed discussion today with the Saudi Finance Minister. Last Friday, they also met with the Saudi Finance Minister in Islamabad.
Minister Aurangzeb said the Saudi minister made it clear that the $3 billion support would be paid as additional deposits.
He added that we made payments of $1.4 billion last week and that all payments will be made on time.
The Finance Minister says that the $5 billion deposit will also be extended by 3 years instead of annual rollover, and its maturity will be extended to 2028 instead of annual rollover.
He also says that he is grateful to the government of Saudi Arabia, thanking Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Saudi Minister of Finance
