Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar announced that the government intends to seek a review from the Supreme Court regarding its ruling on the medical care and health of PTI founder Imran Khan.
In a media briefing, Tarar mentioned that the government had assessed the court’s ruling concerning Imran Khan’s treatment and had consulted with its legal team on various aspects of the directive.
He noted that some issues remained ambiguous, prompting the government to approach the Supreme Court for clarification and to resolve these uncertainties through legal means.
The law minister pointed out that numerous inmates in the country’s prisons are also experiencing health issues, raising the question of whether the Supreme Court’s ruling would extend to all prisoners or be confined to Imran Khan’s situation.
Tarar emphasized that convicted prisoners receive medical care at government hospitals, stating that any uncertainties regarding the court’s ruling would be clarified through the proper legal channels.
