The federal government has officially announced a hike in the cost of petroleum products. This change will take effect from July 16 and last until July 31, 2025.
As per the notification released by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol is set to climb by Rs5.36 per litre. In addition, high-speed diesel (HSD) will see a significant increase of Rs11.37 per litre.
With this latest adjustment, the fresh price of petrol will be Rs272.15 per litre, while diesel will now be priced at Rs284.35 per litre.
These updated rates will be in effect nationwide for the rest of the month.
The official notification affirms that the revised prices are to be implemented from midnight and will remain effective until the close of July. The ministry attributes these changes to routine adjustments aligned with international oil price trends and fluctuations in exchange rates.
