The formation commanders’ conference at GHQ under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir expressed determination that now is the time to strengthen the grip of law against the planners and masterminds.
The Formation Commanders’ Conference strongly condemned the May 9 incidents.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, ISPR, the soldiers of Pakistan said that the state of Pakistan and the armed forces will always honor the martyrs and their families.
Corps Commanders, Principal Staff Officers and all formation commanders of Pakistan Army participated in the conference.
The forum paid tribute to the great sacrifices of the martyrs.
The formation commanders said that those who attacked martyrs’ memorials, Jinnah House and military installations will be brought to justice.
The participants of the Formation Commanders’ Conference strongly condemned the events of the May 9 Black Day tragedy.
Speaking on the occasion, the Army Chief said that the irrefutable evidence collected in abundance cannot be denied or distorted.
He said that the operations will be carried out under Pakistan Army Act and Official Secrets Act.
The army chief further said that Pakistan Army is determined to fulfill its national responsibilities of protecting territorial integrity.
General Asim Munir said that the state of Pakistan and the armed forces respect the martyrs of Pakistan and their families and will always appreciate their eternal sacrifices.
He said that the people of Pakistan and the armed forces have a close relationship which is central to national security.
He said that the full participation of the people in the celebrations of May 25 clearly reflects the close relationship between the forces of Pakistan and the people.
The army chief said that baseless allegations of violent attacks on law enforcement agencies and security forces, human rights violations and suppression of political activities are aimed at misleading the public and achieving nefarious political interests by maligning the armed forces.
He said that anti-national elements and their supporters are trying hard to create social division and chaos through fake and baseless news and propaganda.
General Asim Munir said that with the full cooperation of the nation, all evil ambitions will be thwarted, God willing.
The Chief of Army Staff said that all efforts to create distortions and to take shelter behind fake human rights violations are futile.
The participants of the conference emphasized the need to cultivate hatred against the state and state institutions for achieving nefarious goals and to clamp down on those who spread chaos in the country.
The formation commanders said that efforts to create obstacles and create confusion from any side will be dealt with iron hands to completely thwart the nefarious intentions of the opposing forces.
The soldiers of Pakistan vowed that the forces of Pakistan will not hesitate to make any sacrifice for the security and stability of the country.
