On Tuesday, the military’s media wing reported that security forces eliminated five terrorists linked to Fitna al-Hindustan during an intelligence-driven operation in the Panjgur district of Balochistan.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a statement indicating that the operation took place on August 10, 2026, following intelligence reports regarding the terrorists’ presence in the region.
According to the military, the high-speed operation resulted in the deaths of five terrorists based on the intelligence received.
The ISPR noted that a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was seized from the militants who were killed during the operation.
The statement mentioned that the explosives recovered were destroyed on-site, while security forces proceeded to secure the area to mitigate any further threats.
The military emphasized that this action is part of an ongoing counterterrorism initiative aimed at ensuring peace and security throughout the nation and dismantling terrorist networks.
Following the operation, security forces initiated a clearance and sanitization effort in the area to identify and neutralize any remaining threats, as stated by the ISPR.
The military characterized the targeted operation as part of its sustained efforts against terrorist proxies, which it claims are operating with support from India.
According to the statement, security forces and law enforcement agencies will persist in their operations against terrorism allegedly backed and facilitated by foreign entities.
