Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has pledged to form the next government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), asserting his party’s determination to win the upcoming elections.
Speaking at a public gathering in Kotli, Bilawal shared that he always feels “at home” in the district, describing the link between Kotli’s residents and the PPP as a deep family bond rather than just a political association.
He remarked that the party’s elected representatives are like family members who have supported each other through both good and challenging times.
Reflecting on the exile of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal noted that the party faced tough times, with its leadership living in London and other places.
Despite these obstacles, he highlighted that PPP workers remained steadfast and loyal to the party.
He also commended senior PPP leader Chaudhry Yasin for his unwavering loyalty to both the party and the Bhutto family during hard times.
Expressing strong confidence, Bilawal said that, “God willing,” the PPP would form the next government in Azad Kashmir, and he hoped the party would sweep all seats in Kotli.
He called on party workers to secure an election victory, stating he expects even stronger results than in previous elections.
Bilawal added that the PPP had been part of the Azad Kashmir government for the last six months and had delivered a successful performance in past polls.
Reaffirming support for the Kashmir cause, he stated that the PPP’s connection with the Kashmiri people spans three generations.
He concluded by saying the party has always championed the Kashmir issue globally and will continue to be a strong voice for the Kashmiri people.
