
In Bannu and its surrounding regions, security forces killed 24 terrorists of the Indian proxy Fitna al-Kharij in various firefights during the last 24 hours.
The ISPR confirmed that arms and ammunition were seized from the slain terrorists, who were responsible for several terrorist activities and the deaths of peaceful civilians.
Following the recent suicide attacks and terror threats in Bannu, security forces launched joint intelligence-based operations to target these terrorists and their facilitators. The ISPR stated that these operations will continue with complete resolve.
President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the security forces, calling the elimination of the 24 terrorists a testament to the professionalism and courage of our defenders. He declared that operations against the Indian-supported Fitna al-Kharijite movement will be taken to their logical end. He added that elements attacking civilians and law enforcers do not deserve any mercy, and the nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with its security forces.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the forces for their successful actions against the Fitna-ul-Hindustan terrorists. He saluted the bravery of the personnel, describing the soldiers as the crown of the nation’s head and its true heroes. He asserted that the success of the Bannu operation demonstrates Pakistan’s firm resolve to completely eradicate Indian-backed terrorism from the country.
