US President Donald Trump has declined to prolong the Memorandum of Understanding with Iran, insisting that Tehran must capitulate.
As reported by Arab media, President Trump stated that the United States is not interested in renewing the lapsed Memorandum of Understanding with Iran and that Iran should raise the white flag.
The US President also asserted that his administration is in discussions with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, a claim that the Revolutionary Guards have refuted.
According to Arab media, Iranian officials have suggested a more confrontational approach in the ongoing conflict with the United States following the expiration of the memorandum of understanding.
Esmail Baqai, spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, remarked that the 60-day window for negotiations aimed at addressing issues such as sanctions against Iran has now lost its significance due to the US’s “serious” violations.
He further stated that Iran’s military forces are fully equipped to respond decisively to any American aggression.
