The Shehbaz Sharif-led government on Friday announced a fresh reduction in fuel prices, offering welcome relief to consumers across Pakistan.
Under the revised rates, petrol has been reduced by Rs6.00 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs6.80 per litre — cuts of up to Rs6.80 per litre for the coming week.
The Government of Pakistan implemented these changes as part of its weekly fuel adjustment review. The new prices will take effect from midnight on May 23 and will remain in place for one week, the Petroleum Division said.
