Murad Ali Shah says that the death toll has reached 15, 65 people are missing in the Gul Plaza tragedy, and efforts are being made to locate the missing people.
He said that in this incident, a committee is being formed under the leadership of Commissioner Karachi, they will ask the forensic lab of Lahore for help, they will conduct an inquiry to correct the mistakes, and those who made mistakes will be punished.
The Sindh Chief Minister said that a fire audit of 145 buildings was conducted in 2024.
It should be noted that the fire in Karachi Gul Plaza was completely extinguished after 33 hours. The bodies of 5 more people were recovered from the burnt building. The number of people who died in the fire has increased to 15, while 22 injured people are undergoing treatment.
According to the Chief Fire Officer, the cooling process is underway in the plaza, windows are being cut with the help of cutters, and walls are also being demolished with the help of hammers.
