23 travellers shot dead in Balochistan’s Musakhel: official

At least 23 individuals tragically lost their lives in Balochistan’s Musakhel district as armed men forcibly removed passengers from trucks and buses early Monday morning, subsequently opening fire after verifying their identities, an official reported.

”The deceased are reportedly from Punjab,’ Assitant Commissioner of Musakhail,Najeeb Kakar, said.

He stated that the armed men blocked the crucial inter-provincial highway in the Rarasham area of Musakhel, halting buses and evacuating passengers from them.

The assailants further escalated their brutality by setting ablaze 10 vehicles, he added.

Police and Levies officials promptly arrived at the scene, commencing the transfer of bodies to the hospital, according to the Assistant Commissioner.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti vehemently condemned this heartbreaking act of terrorism.

Expressing profound sympathy and extending his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, he decried the cowardly actions of the terrorists, as per an official statement released from his office.
