Security Forces killed 13 Khawarij during 2 separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted operations in the Bara and Bannu areas.

The ISPR has stated that clearance operations are underway to eliminate Khawarij in the area.

President Asif Ali Zardari, while paying tribute to the successful operations of the security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has said that the national resolve to completely eradicate terrorism operating with foreign support from the beloved homeland is unwavering.
He said that operations against terrorists operating with foreign backing should continue for the sake of national security and the protection of the people.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has paid tribute to the security forces for killing 13 Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying that the security forces destroyed the terrorists in Bannu and Bara with professional skills.
He said that the security forces are like a lead wall against terrorism.
