The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has arrived in Pakistan for a two-day official visit with a high-level delegation.
Upon reaching Islamabad, President Prabowo Subianto and his group were warmly welcomed by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
This visit is particularly important as Pakistan and Indonesia are marking the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations this year. Additionally, it is President Prabowo Subianto’s first visit to Islamabad.
According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, during his two days in Islamabad, President Subianto will engage in talks with the Prime Minister, meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, and have meetings with the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
Throughout the visit, both nations will partake in in-depth discussions to improve cooperation in trade, investment, defence, health, IT, climate change, education, culture, and other areas, aiming to strengthen both regional and global partnerships.
It is also anticipated that memorandums of understanding will be signed between the two countries during this visit.
