
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Force (CDF), visited the Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons to evaluate operational preparedness and training standards of the formations.
A statement from the ISPR on Saturday noted that the Field Marshal was informed about the formations’ operational readiness and significant initiatives to boost combat preparedness.
He observed a field training exercise and checked an advanced simulator training facility, praising the troops’ high professional standards and overall readiness.
Emphasizing the changing nature of warfare, Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the need for technological adaptability, noting that modern conflicts require agility, precision, situational awareness, and quick decision-making.
During his talks with officers and soldiers, the COAS and CDF praised their high spirits and unwavering dedication to national security. He reiterated that the Pakistan Army is fully focused on tackling both internal and external challenges, including hostile hybrid campaigns, extremist ideologies, and divisive elements that aim to undermine national stability.
Earlier, when he arrived in Gujranwala, the Field Marshal was welcomed by the Corps Commander of Gujranwala.
