Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah has made a notable claim about a past interaction involving former army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa and former DG ISI Faiz Hameed.
During an interview, Rana Sanaullah recounted a meeting where General (retd) Bajwa apparently made a joke about Faiz Hameed’s physical appearance, remarking that Rana Sanaullah had ‘become too fat’ and needed to ‘be made smart again.’ Sanaullah mentioned that the comment referred to his time in jail when he had lost a lot of weight.
The prime minister’s adviser further alleged that under Imran Khan’s government, significant state matters were handled with Faiz Hameed’s and General Bajwa’s input and Imran Khan’s direction.
Rana Sanaullah asserted that no military officer could create a false case without the army chief’s consent, stating that such an act would lead to immediate court-martial.
He also mentioned that during a briefing, when General Bajwa again commented on him becoming ‘smart,’ he replied that the case against him was started on Bajwa’s orders. He added that he left the matter to divine justice, expressing that accountability would take place in this world.
