The woman federal agents dragged from a car in Minneapolis on Tuesday is Aaliyah Rehman.
She says that even after she told them about her disability, agents pulled her from the car like an animal.
Rehman told ABC News she considers herself lucky to have survived. She said she was on her way to a traumatic brain injury center for treatment when masked agents dragged her out of the car despite her saying she was disabled.
The incident happened just two blocks from where federal agents killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. Rehman said that, in the context of Good’s killing, she knew she should not resist.
While in federal custody she requested a medical examination but was taken to a detention center, where she lost consciousness. She was taken to hospital after losing consciousness, and documents about Good’s death began to emerge.
According to U.S. media reports, Good, who was killed on January 7, was shot in the chest, arm and head. Two bullets hit the right side of her chest and one hit her left arm. Medical personnel at the scene said an initial examination showed Good had suffocated.
The fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good has sparked protests across the country and increased scrutiny of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
