
At the Mecca Defense Alliance meeting, it was decided to provide the necessary military force and defense capabilities to Saudi Arabia for immediate deployment.
Representatives from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey attended an emergency meeting of the Strategic Political and Defense Committee of the Mecca Defense Alliance.
According to the Foreign Office, the meeting appointed Lieutenant General (retd) Noman Mahmood as the first Secretary General of the Mecca Defense Alliance for a period of three years.
The joint statement said that Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey reject any attack or threat against the security of Saudi Arabia, condemning any attempt to target Mecca and Medina and attacks on Saudi cities.
The meeting also decided to make immediate practical progress on collective defense commitments. The three countries agreed to increase collective defense capabilities, military integration, and the ability to deal with threats.
The joint statement said that the security of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey is an integral part of collective security. The three countries reiterated their commitment to remain united and determined to defend their security, sovereignty and territorial integrity. The meeting also praised the professionalism and preparedness of the Saudi armed forces
