
Security forces have eliminated 11 terrorists in recent intelligence-led operations targeting militants from Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, as reported by security sources.
The operations were carried out in the South Waziristan and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with the Sasool area in Khuzdar district, Balochistan.
Sources indicate that two terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij were killed during an operation in Bannu, where weapons and ammunition were also seized from the location.
Additionally, security forces successfully destroyed the terrorists’ hideout using explosives during the operation.
In the Ladha area of South Waziristan, an intelligence-based operation was executed following a tip-off, resulting in the deaths of five Khawarij terrorists. The security forces effectively detected the militants’ movements, allowing them to surround and execute a successful operation.
According to security sources, four terrorists from Fitna al-Hindustan were killed during an operation in Sasool, Khuzdar district, with the aid of quadcopters for precise targeting.
All necessary precautions were taken during these operations to safeguard the lives and property of civilians and to prevent any harm to the local populace, as stated by security sources.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed their gratitude to the security forces for their successful operation against terrorists in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In separate statements, both the president and the prime minister praised the security forces for their role in eliminating 11 terrorists during the operation. They reaffirmed their commitment to completely eradicate the threat of terrorism from the nation and to ensure enduring peace and stability.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the entire nation stands united with the security forces in the battle against terrorism, recognizing their sacrifices.
