Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted a contempt of court petition to the Supreme Court regarding the alleged breach of a judicial order related to the transfer of party founder Imran Khan to a hospital.
The petition aims to initiate contempt proceedings based on the purported violation of the Supreme Court’s order from August 18, 2026, concerning Imran Khan’s transfer to a medical facility.
PTI has urged the Supreme Court to issue show-cause notices to the involved parties and those accused of contempt, requiring their personal appearance before the court.
Additionally, the party has requested the court to find the respondents guilty of contempt and impose appropriate penalties as per the law.
The petition also calls for the immediate transfer of Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad for his medical evaluation.
Furthermore, PTI has sought the appointment of a judicial officer or a local commission to oversee the enforcement of the court’s order.
The contempt petition was filed by Uzair Bhandari and Salman Akram Raja on behalf of PTI.
The Supreme Court has already postponed the hearing of this case until September 16.
