Abdul Aleem Khan, the President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), has expressed his support for the establishment of Hazara Province in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that citizens nationwide are advocating for the formation of new provinces based on administrative needs.
He noted that calls for the creation of Hazara Province have been present in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly since 2010, and it is promising to see significant political parties backing this initiative, as mentioned in a press release issued on Saturday.
Khan affirmed that the IPP is fully committed to the demand for Hazara Province to address the issues faced by the populace. He also highlighted the critical importance of establishing South Punjab and Bahawalpur provinces, pledging the party’s complete support for these initiatives.
He remarked that there are also demands for new provinces in Punjab and Sindh, as the rapid population growth has made the creation of additional provinces a pressing necessity.
The IPP President emphasized that forming new provinces could alleviate public concerns and enhance administrative effectiveness.
He underscored that this is a national matter, and the establishment of new provinces should not be compromised for political gain or party interests.
Khan suggested that there would be no detriment in subdividing each of the four provinces into four additional administrative units.
He added that the current situation necessitates a new operational framework across the nation, urging progress in line with modern requirements while considering the existing circumstances.
Abdul Aleem Khan reiterated that the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party will persist in advocating for the creation of new provinces at every opportunity.
He called on politicians to take responsibility and engage with the issue of new provinces.
The IPP President stressed that rather than safeguarding political strongholds, politicians should prioritize addressing the challenges faced by the public.
