The captain of the Pakistan Army was martyred while seven terrorists were neutralized during an intelligence-led operation in the Hangu district.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was initiated based on intelligence regarding the presence of militants affiliated with the ‘Indian Proxy, Fitna Al Khwarij’.
During the operation, security forces effectively targeted the terrorists’ location. In a desperate move, the terrorists sought refuge in a mosque, showing a blatant disregard for the sanctity of the worship site. In the subsequent exchange of fire, seven terrorists were killed.
Tragically, during this intense firefight, Captain Hamza Akram, aged 27, was martyred while bravely leading his troops from the front.
Additionally, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the deceased khwarij, who had been actively involved in various terrorist activities against Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, as well as the murder of innocent civilians.
“A sanitization operation is currently underway to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored Kharji in the area. The relentless Counter Terrorism campaign, under the vision ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ (as endorsed by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan), will continue at full speed to eradicate the threat of foreign-sponsored terrorism from our nation. The sacrifices of our courageous soldiers further strengthen our unwavering commitment to protect our country at all costs,” stated ISPR.
