Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has stated that criticism of the Pakistan Army will not be tolerated, urging political leaders to watch their words carefully.
Speaking to PPP office-bearers and ticket holders in Azad Kashmir, Bilawal said law enforcement agencies must investigate strictly according to the law, noting he had discussed this proposal with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
He emphasized that constitutional amendments cannot be forced through protests or sit-ins, adding that the PPP remains open to dialogue. He also maintained that the Kashmiri people must decide their own future and expressed his desire to see representatives of Kashmiri refugees in parliament.
The PPP chairman favored resolving local issues within Azad Kashmir and stressed that promises made to Kashmiris must be kept. He criticized political rivals, accusing them of falsely believing that progress can be achieved by depriving people of their livelihoods.
Bilawal reiterated that Kashmir’s future belongs to its people and called for a peaceful resolution. He advised that if Kashmiris want more rights, they should fight for them through a united democratic struggle, while accusing opponents of damaging those rights.
Finally, he urged PPP candidates to boost their campaigns through door-to-door voter outreach, promising that the party remains dedicated to creating jobs and defending public rights. He concluded by reminding everyone that political activities should be conducted responsibly, particularly when discussing the Pakistan Army.
